How to Use Kakobuy Step by Step — 2026 Checkout Guide

Most first reps orders go wrong somewhere between funding the account and picking a shipping line. Kakobuy is the agent that makes those steps hardest to get wrong, which is why it is the usual first pick in 2026. This guide walks the entire flow, end to end, with each toggle explained.

What you need before you start

• Valid email address
• Credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard; Amex partially supported)
• Shipping address (physical, no P.O. boxes for DHL line)
• 30-60 minutes for the first order, 5-10 minutes for each subsequent

Step 1 — create an account

1. Go to Kakobuy via our spreadsheet page. This attribution captures the current active coupon.
2. Click "Sign up" in the top-right corner.
3. Fill in email, password (8+ chars, mixed case recommended), country.
4. Confirm the email via the link Kakobuy sends. This is required before you can purchase.

Do not enter a coupon code at this stage — our referral attribution is in the URL parameters and will auto-apply at checkout.

Step 2 — fund your balance (optional but recommended)

Kakobuy supports two payment modes:

Per-item checkout: pay each item's item-subtotal + service fee separately at purchase time. Card is charged each time.

Balance funding: pre-load USD balance to the account; items debit against balance. Card is charged once, upfront.

For single small orders, per-item is fine. For multi-item orders over a few days, balance funding avoids 5-10 card-swipe fees and reduces fraud-check friction on your card issuer's side.

Step 3 — find items

Three ways:

1. Our spreadsheet. Click any product on our Kakobuy spreadsheet, sneakers category, tops, bags, or watches. The click-through deep-links into Kakobuy with the Weidian source URL resolved.
2. Weidian URL paste. Kakobuy has a URL-paste box on the home page. Drop any Weidian item URL in; Kakobuy fetches the listing.
3. Item ID search. Some Weidian items are identifiable by ID only. Paste the numeric ID into Kakobuy's search bar.

Step 4 — confirm and buy

After you land on an item page in Kakobuy:

• Pick the variant (color, size) from the dropdowns. The Weidian variants map 1:1 to Kakobuy's dropdowns.
• Set quantity.
• Do not check "skip QC" in the advanced options. Ever, on reps.
• Submit. If you're on per-item checkout, pay now. If on balance, confirm the balance debit.

Step 5 — wait for warehouse arrival

The Weidian seller now has 3-7 business days to ship to Kakobuy's warehouse in Jinjiang (for shoes) or Foshan (for apparel and mixed). You'll see a "Shipped by seller" notification once the seller posts a tracking number to the warehouse.

If the seller is slow or unresponsive after 5 business days, open a chat with Kakobuy support via the item-detail page's "Contact" button. The support team can nudge the seller.

Step 6 — QC photos arrive

24-48 hours after warehouse arrival, Kakobuy's QC team posts photos. You'll get an email + in-dashboard notification. Open the QC photo viewer:

• Typically 5 default photos per item
• Can request 3 additional photos for 10 CNY (reasonable for big-ticket items)
• Zoom works in-browser; no download required

Inspect for:

• Sneakers: heel stitching, box label date, glue marks, insole quality, crease pattern
• Apparel: stitching consistency, label placement, size-tag accuracy, fabric weight
• Bags: hardware weight, stitching, logo placement, interior tag

Step 7 — accept or reject

Accept: item moves to "In warehouse" status, ready for ship. Reject: files a dispute. Seller is notified; typical resolutions:

• Seller re-sends the correct item (7-14 more days)
• Seller refunds; you lose nothing but time
• Seller ghosts; Kakobuy escalates after 14 days, refunds within 5-10 more business days

Step 8 — submit for international shipping

When all items you want in a parcel are accepted:

1. Go to "Warehouse" → "Pending ship"
2. Select items to bundle (checkbox each)
3. Click "Submit for shipping"
4. Pick line-haul option — see the line-haul section below
5. Pay shipping cost
6. Address is locked after this step

For first-timer to the US: use DHL Express. Transit is predictable and customs clears cleanly.

Step 9 — track and receive

After submit, Kakobuy posts the international tracking number. Follow it on the carrier's site. When it lands at your country, domestic courier takes over (USPS, Royal Mail, Deutsche Post, etc.).

• US: 10-18 days end-to-end
• UK: 12-20 days
• EU (DE/FR/NL): 10-16 days
• AU: 14-22 days

How do I dispute a delivered item (not a QC rejection)?

Open "My Orders" → find the order → "Report issue". Provide photos. Kakobuy investigates with the carrier and the seller. Typical resolution 7-14 days.
